Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight
From maker's figures 2/10How much it adds to your pack. This is the whole tent: two people sharing can split it. 2: A weak point.
Wild Country's page gives a trail weight of 2.91 kg (tent body, flysheet and poles) and 3.15 kg in total. 2.91 kg is in the 2.7 kg+ band. Shops list 3.2 kg minimum and 3.55 kg, which are heavier but in the same band.
Rain protection
From maker's figures 8/10How well it keeps out heavy, long rain. 8: Clearly better than most.
Fly 4,000 mm is in the 3,000 mm+ band (the top band); floor 5,000 mm, so no deduction. The printed figure alone gives 8 at most: a 9 or 10 needs 3 reviews that say it stays dry in real storms.
Wind
Estimate from maker's specs: maker's season rating (fewer than 3 reviews about wind) 7/10How steady it stays in strong wind on open ground. 7: Better than most.
No published review says how it copes with wind, so this is an estimate from the maker's season rating.
Space
Estimate from maker's specs: berths and tent shape (no floor area published) 5/10Room to lie, sit up and keep kit inside. 5: Does the job. Average for wild-camping gear.

Packed size
From maker's figures 1/10How much room it takes in your rucksack. 1: A real weak point.
Terra Nova's page prints the packed size as 44 L x 25 W x 25 H cm; we treat it as a roll 44 cm long and 25 cm across: 3.1416 x 12.5 x 12.5 x 44 = 21,598 cm³, so 21.6 L, in the 15 L+ band. Attwoolls gives 44 cm long x 22 cm across (16.7 L), and a box of 44 x 25 x 25 (27.5 L) would also be 15 L+.
In short
Good for
- Two people who want a strong four-season geodesic tent for winter and high ground (Terra Nova calls it a spiritual successor to the Quasar)
- Camps where the weather is the main worry, not pack weight
- Pairs who can split the 2.91 kg between two rucksacks
Strengths
- Four-season geodesic shape, a symmetrical design inspired by the Terra Nova Quasar
- 4,000 mm fly and 5,000 mm floor, with fully sealed seams on both
- Two doors and two 70 cm porches, so each person has their own door and kit space
- 20 alloy V-pegs and 10 reflective guy lines included
- Recycled, PFAS-free fabrics
Weaknesses
- Heavy: 2.91 kg trail weight, 3.15 kg in total, and shops list up to 3.55 kg
- Bulky at 44 x 25 x 25 cm (about 21.6 L): needs a big rucksack, or split between two
- Inner pitches first, so the inner is exposed to rain until the flysheet is on; Attwoolls says it takes about 14 minutes to pitch
- Wild Country publishes no inner width or floor area, so space is an estimate, not a reviewed score
- No independent review found, so wind, pitching and durability are estimates, not reviewed scores
