Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 9/10How much it adds to your pack for the amount it holds. 9: Among the best you can buy for this.
Vango's page (its only page for this set) gives 0.172 kg (172 g), a 680 ml pot and a 500 ml pan, with a soft storage bag in the box; it doesn't say whether the bag is in the weight. Vango lists the pan with its own 500 ml capacity, so the method adds both: 680 + 500 ml = 1.18 L, and 172 g for 1.18 L = 146 g per litre, under 150 g/L. This is close to the line. Ultralight Outdoor Gear lists 178 g without the bag (151 g per litre, a 4), but that is a shop's figure; counting the pot alone (0.68 L) would give 253 g per litre, a 3.

In short
Good for
- One walker who wants a titanium pot and a pan in one light set
- Boiling water and quick one-pot meals, then frying in the pan
- Packing a 110 g gas canister and Vango's Atom stove, or its Compact or Folding stoves, inside (Vango)
Strengths
- 172 g for a pot and a pan, 146 g per litre by the method
- Titanium with no coating to wear off, and a seamless stretched body and base with no weld (Vango)
- Silicone-coated handles fold away (Vango)
- Soft storage bag included (Vango)
Weaknesses
- Titanium heats quickly but can be fierce for simmering (Ultralight Outdoor Gear)
- The 680 ml pot is small for two people
- Close to a band line for weight: the band moves if a shop's 178 g without the bag is used
- No independent reviews yet
