Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 9/10How much it adds to your pack for the amount it holds. 9: Among the best you can buy for this.
SOTO Japan gives 95 g for the pot, lid and lifter together (pot 60 g, lid 15 g, lifter 20 g) and 750 ml (about 800 ml brim-full). 95 g / 0.75 L = 127 g per litre, in the under-150 g/L band. SOTO's US page prints 60 g for the pot alone (80 g per litre, also band 5, so the lower-scoring figure gives the same band) and a separate boxed shipping weight of about 283 g that is not used: only SOTO's stated product weights are banded. Ultralight Outdoor Gear lists a 70 g pot and 19 g lifter.

In short
Good for
- Walkers who count grams and mainly boil water for dehydrated meals and drinks
- Packing a single stove and a gas canister inside one small pot
- Pairing with SOTO’s ThermoLite lid and cozy, which fit the same 750 ml size (SOTO Japan)
Strengths
- 95 g with lid and lifter for 750 ml: 127 g per litre (SOTO Japan)
- Titanium with no coating, so nothing to wear off
- Holds SOTO’s single stove, a 105 g gas canister and the lifter (SOTO Japan)
- Same size as the ThermoLite pot (SOTO Japan)
Weaknesses
- No handles: you rely on a 20 g lifter, and Ultralight Gear notes it is a tight fit in the pot with a canister and stove, so losing it is a real risk
- 0.3 mm walls feel soft and are likely to bend (Ultralight Gear)
- Thin titanium can burn food on the base (Ultralight Gear)
- The lid does not lock in place, so the pot needs a bag or band to keep it together (Ultralight Gear)
- Only one UK shop found (Ultralight Outdoor Gear); Alpinetrek has withdrawn its listing
- Cooking and durability are estimates, not reviewed scores: only one independent source
