Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 7/10How much it adds to your pack for the amount it holds. 7: Better than most.
Snow Peak's UK and US pages both give 330 g for the whole set. Its US page gives the pots as 33.8 and 26.3 in US fluid units (999.6 and 777.8 ml, 1.777 L together); its UK page gives no capacity. 330 g for 1.777 L = 186 g per litre, in the 150-219 g/L band. We count the pots only: Snow Peak's UK page lists the two fry pans as lids, and neither page gives them a capacity (counting them, at the 500 and 340 ml Ultralight Outdoor Gear lists, would give about 126 g per litre, a 5). Ultralight Outdoor Gear lists 296 g without the bag and pots of 1,000 and 700 ml (174 g per litre, same band).

In short
Good for
- Two walkers cooking simple one-pot meals, or one walker who wants a pot for dinner and a second for a brew
- Packing a gas canister and small stove inside (Snow Peak)
- Boiling water for dehydrated meals
Strengths
- Two nesting pots of 1.0 and about 0.8 L at 330 g (Snow Peak)
- The lids work as small fry pans with folding handles (Snow Peak)
- Titanium, so there is no coating to wear off
- OutdoorGearLab found it the most compact set it tested, by quite a bit
Weaknesses
- Thin titanium heats unevenly: OutdoorGearLab burned and stuck a scrambled egg and said every other set cooked better
- Rattles in the pack unless you pad it (OutdoorGearLab)
- Handle hinges on the lids are a possible weak point (OutdoorGearLab)
