Cooking and ease of use
From reviews 6/10How evenly it heats, whether food sticks or burns, cleaning, and the handles, lid, pouring and steadiness on a small stove. 6: A bit better than average.
Three hands-on sources, with a 2-point spread. OutdoorGearLab (4; Sept 2026, cooking 7 out of 10) found a very compact set that boils fast and copes with ramen and rice, though it is not for real cooking. CleverHiker (3; 4.3 out of 5 overall) says the thin titanium heats quickly and unevenly, can burn food on and is a bother to clean, so it suits boiling and watery meals. NGMonocrom (2; 2020) found the new triangular handles give a poor, unstable grip on a full pot and would not recommend it.

In short
Good for
- Solo walkers who want a pot for a meal and a separate cup for a brew
- Boiling water, instant coffee, oatmeal and ramen
- Nesting a small stove and one or two small gas canisters inside the pot
Strengths
- Pot and cup nest into one 11 x 13 cm set of about 190 g (Snow Peak; OutdoorGearLab)
- Silicone tab lets you lift the lid without a pot-holder (Snow Peak; OutdoorGearLab)
- Folding handles stay cool and sturdy (OutdoorGearLab; CleverHiker)
- Volume marks in ml inside the small pot (CleverHiker)
- Titanium, so there is no coating to wear off
Weaknesses
- Snow Peak gives no capacity for the pot or cup, so we can't score weight for its size
- Thin titanium can dent and warp: OutdoorGearLab's pot dented and its lid no longer fitted well, and CleverHiker saw cupping on the pot base after moderate use
- Triangular folding handles are hard to grip with a full pot (NGMonocrom)
- Heats unevenly and can burn food on (CleverHiker)
- No drain holes or spout in the lid (CleverHiker)
