In short
Good for
- Ultralight trips where a 47 g stove matters more than wind performance
- Three-season and summer wild camps with a small pot
- Walkers wanting a cheaper alternative to a Pocket Rocket-type stove in a lighter class
Strengths
- 47 g and about 0.15 L folded, lighter than the PocketRocket 2 (73 g)
- Decathlon quotes 3 min 30 s for 1 litre; Outdoor Empire timed a test pot in about the same time as a PocketRocket 2
- Built-in wind guard around the burner
- Pouch in the box
Weaknesses
- Wind performance and simmer control are estimates, not reviewed scores: only one independent review covers them
- Some Decathlon buyers say a pot sits unsteadily on it (Decathlon replied that the stove is built to be extremely compact)
- One Decathlon buyer reported the stove failing about two years in, after roughly 15 days of use a year
- No regulator and no igniter, so it needs a lighter and is not for winter
- Output is 2,300 W, lower than the PocketRocket 2 class
