Strengths
- Weighs 99 g and packs to about 0.55 L, roughly the size of a small apple
- New memory-foam layer under the stretch-knit cover cuts the bounce of a bare air pillow
- Mini valve lets you let out a little air without deflating it
- Curved edge supports the neck for side sleeping, 11 cm tall when inflated
Weaknesses
- Narrow: OutdoorGearLab testers' heads rolled off it when they turned over
- Still an air pillow, so firmer than foam pillows and can press on the ears when fully inflated
- PillowLock only grips Sea to Summit mats; on other mats it can slide out of a hoodless bag
- Hand-wash only, with no removable cover
- No independent report yet on how this 2026 version holds up over time
