Switchback Travel found it right for fall backpacking and chilly days around freezing; CleverHiker found it right for days above freezing and down to about -4 °C with layering; GearJunkie stayed comfortable on cold ski tours with a light base layer and calls it warm enough for deep winter outings, though not for long stops on frigid summits. About 150 g of down in the men's M. Reviews of the women's jacket (Better Trail) are not used: it has 113 g of down.
