Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 5/10How much it adds to your pack for the amount it holds. 5: Does the job. Average for wild-camping gear.
MSR's pages (US and EU) give 0.36 kg for the set and 1.3 L; the ounce figure beside it converts to about 354 g, so we use the heavier 360 g. 360 g for 1.3 L = 277 g per litre, in the 220-299 g/L band. MSR publishes no volume for the mug, so capacity is the pot alone: the mug would have to hold over about 0.34 L to lift the set into the next band. Rock+Run prints 360 g and Ultralight Outdoor Gear 362 g.
