Simmer control*
Reviewers' average 5/10How low the flame turns down without going out, for real cooking.

In short
Good for
- Solo hikers who want a small, light Jetboil for hot drinks and freeze-dried meals
- Three-season wild camps where weight matters and 0.8 litre is enough for one person
Strengths
- 324 g without the stabiliser (Outdoor Gear Lab weighed 322 g)
- Jetboil quotes 12 litres per 100 g canister, about 8.3 g of fuel per litre
- 120 s per 0.5 litre by Jetboil's figure, with a drink-through lid and strainer
- Packs to 10.8 x 16.5 cm
Weaknesses
- 0.8 litre pot is small for two people sharing a freeze-dried meal and a drink
- Outdoor Gear Lab: the burner is small, and strong gusts still blew the flame out
- No built-in igniter: carry a lighter or match (Outdoor Gear Lab, Live for the Outdoors and We Are Explorers)
- Simmers poorly (Outdoor Gear Lab simmering 5.8 of 10): it is for boiling water
- No regulator, so power fades in the cold; not rated for winter use
- Too few reviews of wind performance on this version for us to score wind
