Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight for its size
From maker's figures 6/10How much it adds to your pack for the amount it holds. 6: A bit better than average.
Fire Maple's UK and US pages both give 186 g for the set (pot 101 g, frypan 85 g on the US page), a 500 ml pot and a 300 ml frypan that doubles as the pot lid; Fire Maple lists the frypan with its own 300 ml capacity and 85 g weight, so it counts as a pan. The method adds all pots and pans, so capacity is 0.8 L: 186 g for 0.8 L = 233 g per litre, in the 220-299 g/L band. Counting the pot alone (0.5 L) would be 372 g per litre, a 2. Ultralight Outdoor Gear lists 188 g and 800 ml in all (235 g per litre, the same band).

- Packing a 110 g gas canister inside the pot (Fire Maple)
Strengths
- 186 g for a pot and a frypan
- The 300 ml frypan doubles as the pot lid (Fire Maple)

- Bare aluminium with no coating to chip (Fire Maple)
Weaknesses
- 233 g per litre, a middle result for weight against its size
