Our ratings (out of 10)
1 to 10, compared with the whole market. Each says what it's based on. How we score
Weight
From maker's figures 6/10How much it adds to your pack. This is the whole tent: two people sharing can split it. 6: A bit better than average.
Ferrino's page gives a minimum weight of 1.70 kg and a maximum of 1.95 kg. 1.70 kg is in the 1.5–1.99 kg band (the maximum is too; Hardloop's 1.6 kg minimum would be as well). Expérience Outdoor weighed its tent at 1.95 kg.
Rain protection
From maker's figures 8/10How well it keeps out heavy, long rain. 8: Clearly better than most.
Fly 3,000 mm is in the 3,000 mm+ band (the top band); floor 8,000 mm, so no deduction. The printed figure alone gives 8 at most: a 9 or 10 needs 3 reviews that say it stays dry in real storms.
Wind
Estimate from maker's specs: maker's season rating (fewer than 3 reviews about wind) 5/10How steady it stays in strong wind on open ground. 5: Does the job. Average for wild-camping gear.
No published review says how it copes with wind, so this is an estimate from the maker's season rating.
Space
Estimate from maker's specs: inner floor area per person 7/10Room to lie, sit up and keep kit inside. 7: Better than most.

Packed size
From maker's figures 6/10How much room it takes in your rucksack. 6: A bit better than average.
Ferrino gives 37 x 17 cm, a roll 37 cm long and 17 cm across: 3.1416 x 8.5 x 8.5 x 37 = 8,399 cm³, so 8.40 L, in the 7–9.9 L band.
In short
Good for
- Two people who want a light three-season tent for summer and shoulder-season hiking and bikepacking
- Anyone who values a small pack size (37 x 17 cm) for two people
Strengths
- Light for a two-person tent: 1.70 kg minimum, 1.95 kg maximum
- Packs small, to 37 x 17 cm (8.4 L)
- Floor rated 8,000 mm, with three-layer reinforced corners and taped seams
- Two doors with mosquito-net panels and two vestibules
- Recycled fly and floor fabrics; stuff sack, repair kit and storm guy lines included
Weaknesses
- Fly is 3,000 mm: fine for the UK but not the highest
- Part single-skin: the top of the dome is a single layer, so condensation is possible (Expérience Outdoor had it on two mornings out of about twelve)
- Expérience Outdoor found two corners never pitch tight, which cuts inner space and let its sleeping bag touch the fly
- Ferrino publishes no interior size or floor area, so space is an estimate, not a reviewed score
- Three-season tent (Alpinetrek and Hardloop), so not for winter
- Only one independent review found, so wind, pitching and durability are estimates, not reviewed scores
